SUSTAINABLE HAIR SALON

At Julia Lampard we work in partnership with Davines. We only use products containing natural ingredients which are kind to the skin, hair and the environment. Like us, Davines is a successful independent family-run business who have retained their family values.

As well as helping clients with weak or fragile hair, we can also offer advice for those clients who have frizzy or hard to control hair. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We genuinely care about our clients, and we want them to have a wonderful experience with us.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to create beautiful hairstyles which are easy to maintain using natural, sustainable products. We only use materials which are kind to the hair and the environment.

OUR SUSTAINABILITY SYSTEM

At the Julia Lampard salon we are taking urgent action on climate change and have set goals for sustainability. As part of our ongoing commitments, we ensure that our staff feel nurtured and supported in the work that they do. We also look to partner with organisations that share our values and respect for the environment.

We are:

  • Working in partnership with Davines as a sustainable beauty partner.
  • Supporting economic growth through training and personal development of staff.
  • Collaborating with local businesses through the Surrey Hills Enterprise scheme.
  • Reducing waste and eliminating single use plastics.
  • Encouraging our clients to come into the salon in order to refill their Davines product bottles. Thereby ensuring that we are all working to reduce plastic waste.
  • Recycling or arranging the safe disposal of waste products such as aprons, gloves and foils.
  • Using paraben and ammonia free products.
  • Utilising recyclable foils for applying colour.

Our mission as a salon is to create a sustainable salon to support local people and the wider environment. We want to become a benchmark for how to run and manage a sustainable business.

 

SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS AND EQUIPMENT

 

As a salon, we are proud to only use products which are kind to our clients’ hair and the environment. We use high quality luxury products containing natural ingredients by Davines and Keune. All of our hair dyes are natural and are both ammonia and paraben-free. We work in conjunction with the environment to use products which are kind to our clients’ hair, whilst limiting any damage to the planet.

We only work with suppliers who share our values and who care about the environment. This is one of the reasons we are a stockist of Davines hair care products. Like us, Davines have set goals towards becoming more sustainable as a business. Davines are also conscious of their environmental impact. They are a B Corp, which means that they aspire and achieve the highest sustainability standards in the world. We are proud to work with Davines because they are an ethical family-run business.

At our salon we aim to work in harmony with nature which is why we use sustainable consumables such as: foils, aprons and gloves. At every opportunity we look to be as sustainable as possible. It is for this reason that we only work with materials that are recyclable or biodegradable.

Another goal we have is to create sustainable infrastructures that support human and economic development, whilst allowing access for all. We want to promote sustainable industrialisation, innovation, research and technological capacity. To ensure that everyone has access to low-cost Internet. To this end, we offer free Wifi for all of our customers, so that they can relax while they wait for their appointment.

The Trademark Surrey Hills

The Julia Lampard salon is one of a select group of businesses in Surrey to be awarded the Trademark Surrey Hills- an accreditation and mark of local provenance and quality.

The award promotes the very best of what Surrey has to offer and celebrates those organisations of high quality that reflect and support the distinct and special nature of the area and who share the values of supporting the local environment.
